Here, there is no need to rush, only prior registration is necessary. From 2 p.m., the bells will pass through Marqueyssac and thousands of eggs will be hidden throughout the 22 hectares of the estate. Children from 2 to 12 years old can then, to their delight, flush out each of the 6 eggs of different colors, hidden among the 150,000 century-old boxwood trees cut by hand and arranged like a labyrinth. What’s more fun? Their exploration will continue along the paths lined with holm oaks and pines up to the belvedere where an incomparable panorama of the Dordogne valley and its jewels awaits them: the castle of Castelnaud, the bastide town of Domme, the villages of Beynac and La Roque-Gageac…

In parallel with this great moment of relaxation and discovery for young and old, the gardens of Marqueyssac will also offer children various activities to celebrate Easter as it should be:
- Disguise your eggs! Children will be able to use brushes, colors and collages to create their own little work of art during the egg decoration workshop.
- Tinker! Cardboard basket or cocotte or eggshell mosaic… Supervised during a DIY workshop, children can give free rein to their imagination to make an unforgettable little Easter souvenir.
- Demonstration of wood turning The box trees cut during the restoration work on the gardens, which began in 1996, have a second life thanks to Jean-Pierre, the turner from Marqueyssac, who shapes various objects with this hard, beautiful yellow wood.
